Star Institute Mission
Star Institute respects the profound potential for vibrant health and well being inherent in the human body. Our programs based in Ebb & Flow Integration Therapytm help health professionanls meet the needs of people who recognize their self-healing potential. In addition to workshops and continuing education Star Institute offers certification as an Ebb & Flow Integration Practitioner, Birth Journey Facilitator, and Water Birth Facilitator. Through these programs healthcare professionals add to their particular skills with the latest education and experience using energy, body and breath to balance the mind, emotions and spirit.

History
Rima Star, owner and director, founded Star Institute in 2000. Ms. Star began her massage therapy career in 1974 and taught her first Swedish massage classes in 1977-78. She was one of the original ten people certified as a rebirthing breathing facilitator-trainer and has over 4000 hours studying body-centered healing arts including midwifery and birth facilitation. In 2004 she was given recognition as the Co-mother of Water Birth in the United States, having birthed her children using water in 1980, 84 and 87. She is the author of The Healing Power of Birth and The Wisdom of Water Birth (in process). The curriculums of the institute are evolved from her 30,000 hours as a therapist and educator.
